I admit that I can be a bit of a clothes snob. I don't mean that in a bad way at all though. I like to dress up and look as nice as possible, but I don't want to be wearing the same dress or outfit that other women at the same place may be wearing too. That may be hard for most guys to understand, but it is the unwritten code for women, so we at least understand each other. That is why I like to look at one of a kind dresses when I need one for a fancy event.

I don't mind shopping local if I need jeans or a tee shirt, but I want to shop where I have a better chance at finding a dress that no one else will have at whatever event I am going to. ...continue reading

It's amazing how far technology has come since the birth of the first computer. My company was making a building and we used computer software to generate a model of the building before construction even began. We needed to test the building for different kinds of environmental factors, like wind, rain, and earthquakes. These things can really take a building down if the building isn't made to handle it structurally. To do the tests, we did a Sap2000 download because the program could make those factors and test them against the 3D model.

The tests showed my company that we had to make some changes to the designs to withstand the factors. The building need a bit more wind resistance, and the foundation needed to be enhanced for ground shakes. ...continue reading

I love to learn. When I was a kid, the ability to connect easily to the internet was not something found in every household like it is today. I used to read encyclopedia articles at random, but being able to look up facts online is so much easier and a lot more interesting too, because I am not restricted to just what is on a book page. So, did you ever wonder anything random at all? How tall is Mount Everest? I wonder if that thought has recently crossed anyone else's mind like it did mine not long ago.

I had been watching the news when a news story came on about a climber on Everest. ...continue reading

I remember getting started in business years ago where I would buy mailing lists to get leads to sell my products. I got into the mail order business before anyone ever heard of the Internet. I put together a catalog of the unique niche products that I sold. Then I would buy printed mailing lists and actually hand write envelopes to mail out catalogs. Now my business is all conducted from a website, and I use a company that provides lead generation in Brisbane to get more customers.

I have a certain percentage of customers that discover my business by using a search engine. I get some business from ads on social media and other websites too. I also get a lot of word-of-mouth advertising. The lead generation in Brisbane helps me to perpetually grow my customer base in these competitive times. The products I sell are niche products. Years ago I was the only one you could find that had such a collection of niche products all in one catalog. Now you can find anything by doing a search online. ...continue reading

My parents were both very poor. They wanted me to have a better life than what they have, but it actually was not as shabby as they thought it was. They made sure I had all kinds of opportunities, but all I wanted to do was write. They supported me whole heartedly with that, and I am a published author of 16 best selling novels now. That is how I was able to start looking at luxury real estate in Colorado not long ago. I wanted to find a nice home for my family and myself, and I also wanted my parents to be there with us.

I knew that I would not be where I am today without their love and support, and my success belongs to them as well. ...continue reading
